Ain't no Sunshine in my Game!

I'm not collecting any sun for the '17 Chase the Sun event.  Using Samsung 5054N android phone.  All I get is a prompt at the bottom of my screen asking me if I want to save my accumulated suns, but nothing allows me to take any action.  This stinks.  Can you offer me a fix or work around?  Thanks.
