Level 1739. The "Grower" companion promises growing plus 2X cropsies. It yields the growing, but NO extra cropsies. I have encountered this same programming bug on several levels. Either a deceptive practice, or sloppy troubleshooting/de-bugging standards. Doesn't anyone test the code? Contact me, I will do it for cheap.
Hi Babongo. Are you referring to the manticore companion? King are aware of the issue. I know I myself posted them a video link months ago. Unfortunately although it will be fixed in time, its not high on their list of priorities at the moment. I will see if I can get any further info on it for you though
CSlayer, yes the "Manticore". Are you saying that the problem is linked to that companion, as opposed to the individual level code? If so, that should not be a difficult fix. Technically, if anyone has spent money on a level with an issue such as that; a refund is in order.
As CSlayer observed, apparently the "Manticore", when chosen as a companion, does NOT generate the advertised bonus regardless of the level being played. Quite negligent of King.com to ignore the problem, or perhaps allow the issue to exist as an impediment to the progress of their (paying) customers.
It is linked to the companion rather than the level as I have encountered it in every level he is in
Ok so here is the response back from the game studio.
"It seems to be limited to a few players as the problem has not been reported in large numbers and so therefore as the levels can be beaten without using the companions, its not classed as an issue."
I have passed on Feedback that not everybody will have reported it, because like you, I cannot see why they can't just adjust it slightly. Even if it only grew flowers and didn't throw things at least it would be accurate in its description. Hopefully they will listen, but I do know that the King care team have passed on my comments and I will ask them to pass on yours
Very interesting. If their studio were located the Socialist Republic of Massachusetts, for $49.00 a paying customer could make them present their case of an unimportant known defect and false advertisement before a judge in Small Claims Court. Because it is not an "issue", I am sure their corporate lawyer(s) would not charge King for their required/contracted response to the case. Hopefully, (for King,) there would not be some sleazy class-action law firm monitoring the court filings and looking to start one of those cases where the lawyers get awarded $500,000.00 for organizing the case while each customer get 75 cents of site credit. Fortunately, that never happens, right?
