My son opened an account using my email address. When I ask to reset the password I don't receive an email. When in the website I managed to create an account using the same email address. How can I save my progress now?

Would you mind me asking few questions for my clarification!!
1) I am guessing your son opened a Facebook account using your email address. Did you forgot the password for your Facebook account?
2) I just tried "Forgot Password" link. Then the Facebook sent a "Code" to my email. When entered that code, I was asked to enter "New Password". Did this not happen to you?
3) You said you have created an account on the website! May I know which website were you mentioning? Were you not asked to enter any kind password while creating that account?
