Hard levels do NOT exist on my IPhone AND I cannot collect any further varmits!
I am over this game on my IPhone. No hard levels! No additional characters to collect! Why does my screen show “3” more characters needed YET no level !!! I have spent too much $$ trying to pass levels, and game doesn’t “give”.
I feel my account needs to be credited in some way, otherwise “bye bye”.

With regards to your Question ---
(1) No hard levels -- Yes, the King Team is looking into this matter as we need some hard levels to finish the Quests;
(2) No additional characters to collect -- Yes, there are no more "Companions" available to collect after level #1110. If your screen shows there are 3 more characters needed means, you have not collect them in the PAST levels. To easily find the
"Companions" -- Click on the "Farm Club" icon & see which of them needs to be collected yet. You will see a shadowy character there & you will see the level number where you can collect that character.

(3) I am sorry to say that I have not understood about you spent too much money to pass levels and game doesn't give. Did you buy something AND have not received the items?

I'm on level 1924. I don't buy. I never have. It is possible to play without buying anything and I also don't play on mobile so I don't have access to the quests etc on there to earn boosters. I only use shovels anyway.
Perhaps if it is too hard and obviously stressful, you could try another game 0 -
@Pummy_Raj I think what the other poster is saying is there is a ? on each row, which as you quite rightly said, means there are no more after that level 1
