Yes and still is. I did not have facebook connected to thhe account

Try this:

Go to King.com from a stationary computer
Click on one the games - for instance Candy Crush: https://king.com/game/candycrush
Top right corner there will be a login button - click it and choose the 'Recover password' link



Enter the email you used when signing up and a password reset link will be send to you.
