For me Hallowe'en is pumpkins with candles to light up the facial features, witches and broomsticks, ghosts, toffee apples, hot dogs and trick or treating, it's celebrated well in our village.. all the houses are decorated beautifully and the kids all dress up in costumes as they walk round collecting their goodies from each decorated household..

My favorite Halloween treat is watching the faces of all the children and their excitement not over candy but over spooky decorations

I've always been a horror fan, so it's really fun to see my favorite themes and imagery (like skeletons and ghosts) everyone instead of just niche spots. My favorite things to eat at Halloween time are granny smith apples; I think they're yummier than most candies!

  • Halloween is not my favorite holiday, but treat is probably kit-kats or hersheys.

Well, while I do not have fond memories of Halloween. As a kid we grew up in the country on a ranch. My parents were very protective of us. Mind you this was growing up in the 60's. On Halloween they would take us to trick or treat at a near by country market. The store owner knew us well and would let us get what we wanted. Our choice of Candy, ice cream, chips, and sodas. Then our mom would take us home and we would wait until dark and she would surprise us with letting us trick or treat at our home.. She always had homemade treats and dinner was hot dogs and chips or pigs in a blanket. Until one year my mom along with my aunt and her kids took us into town for Halloween. Everyone was going only to the houses that had their lights on. On one of our last stops my mom didn't allow us to go with my cousins to an apartment complex, I am glad she didn't. The next day we read in the paper a man had been arrested for handing out candy bars with blades and glass in them.

Needless to say that is the last time we ever celebrated Halloween.. haha..

    Thank you!
