I used coins to purchase 5 extra moves in my level and once purchased game/app shut down, when app/ game reopened coins were
deducted from coin balance
this is not the first time this has happened

Thank you so so much for letting us know this has happened in your game. You will be happy to know that the studio is aware of this and currently working on making sure this doesn't keep happening.
On your behalf, we would like to request the Player Support team to compensate the Gold bars that got used back in your game.
All we need is your game ID and in order to find it:
Open the game app and tap on the 3 lines 👇
Tap on My Profile 👇
Now you double-tap on the King logo and voilà, the logo should disappear and reveal your Game ID.

Same thing just happened to me. Purchased extra moves and game closed. User ID 1188640506.
