Thank you @me6412 It is a very sad day indeed. The one consolation is she is with her Phillip now. She missed him very much 😥

Thank you @me6412. It is a very sad time. We didn't think she would survive long after the death of her beloved husband.

I read yesterday she was going to be buried with her parents and it made me sad because why wouldn't it be with Phillip? But then I read they never intended on him staying where he is now, the plan was always to move him to lie besides her upon her death. Which I thought was extremely sweet.

It did upset me more than I thought it would. I am not a royalist. But she's been there so long and it wasn't the life she would have chosen but she stayed doing it to the end. She is still a Mother and a Grandmother and everything else besides. While I agree from the nations point of view it was ceremonial rather than helpful, it was still her job and she carried on even to 96.

I agree with you, but, after she found out a such a young age that she would be queen, her life was never her own. She had to attend all of those ceremonies, openings and other events whether she wanted to or not. She also had to put her signature to legislation and receive the new Prime Ministers, as she did this week. I feel that the death of the Duke of Edinburgh, her husband for 73 years, and the antics of her favourite son, Andrew, and of Harry and Meghan were just too much for her. Charles interferes and expresses his opinion too much for him to be the kind of monarch his mother was.

I am actually looking forward to seeing what type of Monarch he will be.

I don't agree with the being impartial and keeping opinions quiet. I think if the Monarchy actually did their jobs then maybe the country would be different. After all, Kings and Queens used to rule. Who decided they should just be a puppet?

Sadly, like the Queen, we have to be careful what we say in the community...but my views on Meghan differ from the gutter press. After all, how much do we really know?

It would be nice to see things change and he has done a lot of good for people. He's all for the environment too 😊

I think their role changed with Charles II, when they agreed not to involve themselves in politics (or heads would roll again). I do know that Queen Victoria's involvement in affairs gave rise to civil unrest and violence and nearly resulted in our becoming a republic. No one could have been better than Queen Elizabeth II in her role. I'm unsure as to what will happen with Charles, as he's already in his 70s.

I also don't form my opinions from the press, as they're not to be trusted. It's far better to listen to people's own words and then to see what Harry's book contains.

I don't think very highly of politicians either!

@Lady_Choo @CassD Here in our World News they have did nothing but give Grace, Thanks and Admiration to Queen Elizabeth for her service to the Throne and time she gave to England, the people and how she portrayed herself to the world never to let England to be nothing less than the best place in the world, history and future all belong to England and Scotland, Whales the British people who she was so proud to represent even herself a Brit so proud to be at that....and her love of her husband Philip.....sad as she seemed when he passed.....

Then the death of Diana even though she was divorced from Charles the Queen was effect more so than she shown in public, that Diana would have filled the Throne upon her death, but the death changed that, and maybe even relived the Queen somewhat who knows.....anyone can say their own opinion but it was not the words of the Queen she remained quiet......

As for my own opinion God Bless the Queen, and heal the hearts of England and may King Charles rule with the best interests and intentions for all the people of England.......the change's will come as we here in America go through these every time we elect a new President and each one has their own way of trying to run our Country and it takes atleast 2 years of their term to get even some of these changes done.....over and over we go through these changes....it's good you who live in a world where you don't have to go through these things over and over again and again as you can see how your life is going to be we never know.....what's going to happen ever......

God Bless the King.....and the people of England your in my prayers my dear friends ♥️💯
