Thank you for the thread and the badge @encantes .

In my country, there are different ways to celebrate New Year. Either going to a party for dinner, music and dancing, or more quietly at home with family, or in a restaurant. There are quite a few fire works planned by cities with. a countdown before midnight.

We have fireworks at midnight and people get drunk at parties.

We stay home quietly and wait until midnight, then we switch the tv over to watch the fireworks in London and then go back to whatever we were doing. I am not a fan of NY 😁

They will countdown for Happy New Year 2024 and put fireworks when the New Year is arrives.

  • People around here celebrate with gun fire. That is why so many of us choose to stay home.

Many people go to see the lights and fireworks. Or check out the troops but this tradition is not as spectacular as when I was a kid. But lots of people throw braai (BBQ) parties. πŸŽ‰

Hi @encantes in the Unites States, the big thing is fireworks. They are everywhere. The best on TV though, is in New York.
