How do you get rid of the lightning bugs?

Just as @mjrork mentioned, you just make cropsie combos just next to the Lightening Bugs.
The bugs will light up fully after 2 turns. But, until unless you light up all the bugs on the board, they won't fly away!
If you can tell me which level you are playing, we will be able to provide you better assistance.

Here is a video created by our own Farm Heroes Saga Moderator @Lady_Choo. I have checked the game and it is the same level and there are no changes😉
You must be finding it difficult to reach the Fireflies at the bottom of the board! Concentrate on blooming the flowers at the right bottom part first. So that, you can reach the Lightening bugs quickly.
OR if you have enough Magic Beans, take a "Grower" companion help, which does your job easy.
