Had nearly 5,000 beans. Updated the game the other night and it wiped them out. How do I get my beans back?

Wish that were the case KINGPINZZ. I wasn't even on a Rancid level, and always do the Rancid levels for free. They disappeared when I updated the software.
I will mention this as it has happened to me before. I've noticed that if you are on a rancid level and you choose an easy option then you get beans taken from your account of course, but it then gets taken each time you play and the same for the animal companions. Maybe this is why your beans are disappearing.
