I would recommend giving another try and reinstall the game app and also to clear the Google Play Store cache as well and hope it helps.

Also, know that this has been reported to the developers who will continue to work on improvements so you don't keep having this issue but it will take some time.

Thanks for your reply. Of course, I could try to reinstall the app again. But what does clearing play store cache mean? Do you mean that I clear this app's cache or the core Play Store's cache. Sounds like should deleting the existing Android account and creating a new one will fix this gaming issue? This brings me to another solution, which is donating 1 million to charity might also solve this problem.

We understand that reinstalling the game app would mean you will lose all your saved up items but it could also solve the issue while the developers works on solving this.
However if you are still able to collect rewards from other features in the game, then do not do it and just keep on the lookout for new updates that will hopefully take care of the connection issue 😉

Last four years I tried installing on a new phone and reinstalling on an old phone, but apparently the problem persists. I will buy a new phone in the summer and of course will give it another try, although I don't think it's on their to-do list.
