How can I restore my game progress without having connected to FB or Kingdom?

I tried multiple times, I get an email directing me here, but no help. I performed a backup to iTunes, wiped and them restored my iPad and, while I remain at the correct game level, and my boosters (except gold) are still present, I was at rank 52, but returned to rank 1. I also lost my player name (ouija09) and avatar. I can live with the missing gold, but reaching a rank 52 was really hard and I would expect by contacting King, this could be corrected. Hard for that to happen when it's impossible to reach an actual human. 
Please assist.

    Hello @ouija09 Welcome to the NEW community :)  I am also a player just like you and would like to share my thoughts. 

    First of all, the old KING Care page is gone where it was hard to get answers for our Questions / issues.  It might have been the old Forum where you have posted before;

    Now, they have changed & improved it & are calling "Community".  Here, I have noticed that we WILL get answer within 24 hours from an actual human;

    ONLY key is we have to make sure we have posted our Question / issue in the "RELATED THREAD".  Because, there are many helpers on this forum.  I think they are assigned to their expertise areas.  So, if we post in non-related thread, the person who reads your post might just pass on the news & it might take a while for you to get help;

    So, If you don't mind me asking... You chose "Farm Heroes Saga" thread.  I have been playing Farm Heroes from few years but I have not seen "Ranks" EXCEPT in Candy Crush Saga (I can understand to go down from Rank 50 to 1. So sorry to hear that :( 

    Can you please re-check & re-post it?  OR you can just "Post" below explaining more about the game you are having issue & how long ago it happened, etc., details which will be useful for them. 
     
    ** One of the KING expert tells me all the time "the more details we provide, it will be more easy for them to understand & solve the issue. 

    Finally, help will be here.  All the Best and hoping for good results for you :+1:

    I think I can safely say for all the community managers and Superstars and wonderful helpful players we are definitely all human here :D I can't say we are all completely sane, but still human at least :D

    Are you logged into Facebook or the Kingdom? I know the ranking was having issues a while ago but I need to find out to see if it is still happening as I don't play CC now. The team will be in the office Tuesday so I can find out then.
    It does sound though like you are not connected how you previously were as that would relate to your gold and your name etc. If you weren't logged in to either let me know, otherwise could you check please. You can click on the cog and it should show your name etc :)

    I don't play through Facebook, just the app on my iPad. When I click the cog, my my ID is still not there, as if I had never played before.

    Were you connected to the Kingdom to save progress?
    If not, have a look at this link..

    You won't be able to get your ranking back but your progress etc can be restored once you have a save point :)

    Seriously? You can't restore my rank? That's a bit unreasonable. I am at the correct level, what I lost was my rank, avatar, player name and gold. All I really care about is my rank, that took a long time. I am not a fan of Facebook and have no interest in playing through there. I feel I'm not using Facebook, then I must be inthe Kingdom, correct?

    Hey @ouija09 its not our doing. You can of course contact the team and see if they can do it manually. The trouble is because its on your device rather than saved on the game itself, I know in the past its not possible. Here is the contact point :)
    If you follow the instructions for which box to select you should get directly through to that department.

    Hi ouija09!

    You can always get in contact with us here: https://soporto.king.com/contact

    However, and this is really important; if your backup fails then it is really difficult for us here at King to help you. That's why we always recommend you to connect the game online. If you don't like FB then you'll have the option to connect to Kingdom (the orange button with the golden crown). By doing so you'll have a backup of your game data saved in the cloud and can easy restore in case you need to re-install or have to switch to another mobile device.

    P.S.: I've changed the title of this thread so it can help other players :)

    I must admit I was naive and did not know at all about connecting to the kingdom. My back up did not fail, however, it worked fine, with the sole exception of the issue I presented here. Moving forward, I will ensure that I log into the kingdom for any King game I am playing.
