If you use the same account (whether you log in with Facebook or email) on each device you would like, you do not need to log out of anything or on any device. I have it on 3 devices but mostly only play it on one. As long as I am logged in on the other two though, when I come back to play on another, my progress is all there. If its not showing, you need to log out then back in again as it may have logged you out if you haven't played on device 2 for a long time.
The only thing that doesn't transfer are boosters 😉

What I found is yes, you can. But if you play on device 1, the progress of the game will not automatically sync on device 2. If you want to stop playing on device 1 and continue to play it on device 2, you will have to log out from your account on device 2 and log back in again (on device 2).
