The key to this quiz is not to use any four fundamental arithmetic operations, but to express them in a single digit number.
Let's take advantage of the fact that 1000 = 125 ร 8.
First, 125 can only be expressed with the number 1, right?
125 = 111 + 11 + 1 + 1 + 1
Let's multiply the right side of this equation by 8.
1000 = 888 + 88 + 8 + 8 + 8
Then, you can get the correct answer after using just one number, right?
