Why can't I seem to get fellow players to send "help" to get through gate at level 312?

The game seems to glitch when I push to ask all playing friends to "help" get me through the gate. May I also ask why all my friends have disappeared off of my game page they are all still my friends no one has blocked me so where have they gone? When I play the game daily I send "Blockbusters" I never seem to get any in return. I also used to receive mail from playing friends that has also stopped ( i used to get coins sent to me along with gifts of extra lives what has happened to my mail)?
