how do i get the hook to release on pet island ?

there's 4 wooden pedestals and a hook on the side that's connected to them . 4 pets get hung up there and i can't figure out how to release them . i've tried bombs ,keys and rockets . nothing seems to do the trick . what am i missing ? even thought i could the cut cable to the hook with the screen cutters , but it's covered by the paint can.

If you go to you tube, there are some players who record how the passed levels. It does NOT mean you will be playing same senerio. I have found this helpful is passing level that I was going aft in the wrong way. I usually search "pet rescue saga level -----", the choose a player who has completed without boosters. Doesn't mean I can complete it without boosters but most of the time I can. Hope this is helpful.
