why cant you use coins to buy items in pet rescue saga

why give you coins in pet rescue when you cant spend them on anything except the hammers when it pops up? whats the point in me having over 10 million coins if theyre useless? surely it makes sense to be allowed to use them to buy boosters instead of only gold bars. just to get money out of people?

I guess they are there as a back up or in case you need to repeat levels. You're getting something for free so enjoy it for what it is right
