Where did my gold bars go in Pet Rescue?

Had over 19 gold bars one day and the next day they were down to 3. I had not used any. I only use them to unlock the next episode. Have it also on phone and tablet, all synced, and all say 3 gold bars now.

I also keep losing my gold bars, I should have over 150 bars but now only 17 left. The buy extra moves is too close to the playing screen when out of moves & accidentally hit (buy more moves)
I feel it's a bit of a con. Been playing this game for years now
