Sticky thorns and capturing flowers get rid of???

Has anyone came up with help on how to get rid of the sticky green thorns or the flowers that capture everything?  I've had to shut off sound because of the sickening noise but find them too frustrating to spend any time meaning I'm always stuck!!!  You have to used too many boosters.

No but it makes me want to quit the game even though I enjoy most levels!!

Thank you Lynette l.  Still do not like them, however, you confirmed a booster is the only way to go!!!
