My PC is not updateing like the IPad

I have been playing for a long period of time both on my PC and my IPad. Yes, I am aware that they can at times not be the same....level. When I have reached the end and come to the fence, my PC always generated new games faster than the IPad. But lately I can play on the IPad much longer. The PC has not reset to the new levels in a long time. Can you please explain why?
