Pet Rescue Saga Level 380 Glitch?

I've been stuck on PRS level 380 for a while and I watched some videos of people completing it online (using the old version) and it seems like maybe there's a glitch with the new updated version because it's not behaving the same way. In the old version, blocks in the second column to the right of the stone column in the middle would move to the left if enough blocks to the left were cleared, but it seems that no matter what I do I can't get blocks from that column to move to the left, leaving me with only the first column to the right which doesn't produce enough pets to meet the quota.
