on my laptop, Pet Rescue will only play old version. it tells me to update google chrome, I have many times and it still won't let me play the new version. my other games are good. I play on facebook gameroom as well.
Sounds like the game has switched back to the old Flash Player version of some reason.
To get the new correct HTML5 version, first make sure your browser is up to date and that your PC is Windows 7 or later version. If you play on Mac make sure your OS is Sierra or High Sierra.
HTML5 running games are not quite compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista or Mac OS El Capitan or previous versions. You can check this by clicking this link: https://www.whatismybrowser.com
Try also another browser than you currently are using. Recommended browsers for our games are Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Opera.
Then reinstall the game:
1) First, we need to remove the game from Facebook here:
https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications
(don't worry, your levels, Boosters, Gold Bars won't get deleted)
2) Clear the cache on your browser:
http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cache
3) Close the browser.
4) Reinstall the game by clicking here:
https://apps.facebook.com/petrescuesaga
In Google Chrome you can also try these steps if the steps above do not help:
1. Paste this in the address bar in Google Chrome and press enter:
chrome://settings/content/cookies?search=cookies
2. Choose "See all cookies and site data"
3. Write in the search field up to the right "pet" and delete every single cookie that comes up
4. Close the browser and open the game again
