How is it possible to play at least twice daily, have 249 logins to play and then after midnight come back for a 3rd time in 24 hours, but now I'm at day one again? Totally not fair!

You are correct it is not fair at all. How are you connecting, via the Kingdom or Facebook? Could you let me know your device you are using as well and confirm you have 2gb free space.
The team cannot restore your progress as that is stored on your device, but I can feed it back and see if anyone else reports the same happening.
