How can I move a building to another area? Can it be saved by putting it in the trash can till I move other stuff, then get it out of the trash can and place it? Or will I lose it, if I put it in the trash can? Please help me find a way to move buildings around (not the houses). Thanks!

Hi @LadyAleta - putting a building in the trash removes it completely.
To move, once you're in edit mode, click on the object you want to move, then look for the squares/tiles available for you to place it in. Not all of your board is eligible - only where you see squares.
Note, some buildings can also not be removed/trashed - I assume this is a glitch. (I can never delete skate parks!)
Below is an example I made last year, it may look slightly different, but works the same.
