Have you gone into your inventory and clicked on the heart at the top left with the infinity symbol? That should give every player the option to purchase 6 hours lives.

No, there is no widget. In my other game when I loaded the app there was a pop-up for me to for the event on the first moment after the loading screen. But I never got it for this account.

I've got it too this weekend and am halfway through. I cannot see a timer on it either. In my experience the elite version may disappear/reset on Monday morning 9am UK time. I think you probably have all of today and tomorrow to finish it. The elite version is for weekends I think.
