I'm glad it works for you. That is exactly the method I used to use for years and on my iPad it really no longer works now. So I guess it's not a deliberate change but it just doesn't function any more on my device now.

Thank you @Peaches12 for the insightful comment that has cleared a few things up. I'm not sure I like these changes. I guess we will have to use the bookmark function more now. I will bookmark this thread, so see if that works in case it disappears from the front page.

It's a psychological trick by the game. Do not EVER do that. If you don't pay the 16 gold, then on one of your next attempts you will definitely be able to pass with just the 10 gold bars (the game keeps offering more and more moves for 10 gold). So do NOT pay after failing with the ads. I cannot state this often enough.…
