I've just come across a striped lollipop hammer in Soda, Is this a recent feature or has it been there all along?! I should really get my eyes checked lol. So what's so special about this new booster?

When I play Farm Heroes Saga the game continually stops and goes back to the home page. Each time it takes a life. What can I do to stop this?
Can anyone give me some tips on how to handle these little critters? And what do they do exactly?
How do i make the line blaster appear? Sometimes its there, sometimes its not, Is it just random or do i need to earn it?! Thanks
