Here's how you can make use of old stock fruits for healthy drinks/soup. I'm making apple snow pear sweet dessert soup (not really drinks per se) π.
Prepare and wash 2 pieces each of snow pears, pears and apples. You may just use apples or just pears and you can add more if you like.
Prepare couple pieces of Mishri (rock sugar, healthier substitute to sugar) and 2-3 preserved dates.

Boil a kettle of hot water and pour it into a slow cooker. If you don't have a slow cooker, a pot will do too. Continue boiling the water in slow fire over the stove. Whilst waiting for the boiling water, cut the fruits into small pieces or bite size pieces for it to cook well later. The reason I let the water boiling is to make sure the ingredients are well cooked instead of adding the ingredients into the water then only start boiling. I use this method for boiling soup as well. The soup is usually tastier.

Add the cut fruits, rock sugar and preserved dates into the slow cooker/pot. Boil them until all ingredients turn brown.

Serve after it is cool down or leave it overnight. If plan to leave it overnight, do re-heat before you let it cool down so to ensure it don't go bad. Reheat the following day before serve for better taste.

Here's my cup of boiled apples & pears drinks with pulps. This drink is to soothe the lungs & throat especially during hot weather. I normally cook this on weekly basis.

We have something similar to this too. The difference is we use only Asian pears and rock sugars (cooking method is the same) and itβs to be consumed right after. Iβve read some people added ginger as well.
This is supposed to get rid of coughs. I tried this couple of times, but never went through with it since itβs supposed to be made 3 times a day and continuously for 3-4 days, so I donβt know how well it works.

Asian pears.. I think look a bit different than snow pears, but they both are delicious.

My drink is a very simple banana strawberry smoothie.
I took 1 banana and cut it up as well as five large strawberries, then I blended them together, added a small bottle of a probiotic yoghurt drink, then blended them all together to get a banana strawberry smoothie. ππ¨π
