Each year, on 23 April, celebrations take place all over the world to recognize the scope of books - a link between the past and the future, a bridge between generations and across cultures. Also, through reading, we can open ourselves to others despite the distance, and we can travel thanks to the imagination.

By the way, did you know that…? 23 April is a symbolic date in world literature. It is the date on which several prominent authors, William Shakespeare, Miguel de Cervantes, and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega all died. (source: unesco)

I love this thread because reading is my passion!😍

I read in German, Spanish and English, so I've got my own favorites in each language: I like to read Dürrenmatt in German, Almudena Grandes in Spanish, and a whole lot of English speaking authors (from Shakespeare and Jane Austen to George Orwell and J.K. Rowling and even Helen Fielding and Julia Quinn hehe) in their original versions. But if I have to choose an all-time favorite book, that would be Shakespeare's Much Ado about Nothing 🤗

I agree with you @Diamond_Lim I read almost all comic books. But for Donald Duck is my favorite comic books, when I was little I like to read this often. 🥰👍🏻

My favourite book is Anna Karenina.

Every time I read it I always manage to grasp something different and I identify with the characters. I love the author and how he manages to convey emotions.
