  • Great awesome topic @_Elsa_ 😊

Here is a recipe to make a Salted Butter Caramel Christmas Log: List of ingredients:

      - 100 g of sugar (for the sponge cake) + 20 g (for the cream) + 100 g (for the caramel),

      - 100g of flour,

      - 5 eggs + 2 egg yolks (for the cream),

      - 2 sachets of vanilla sugar,

      - 5 cl of milk,

      - 5 cl of liquid cream,

      - 140 g of softened butter,

      - 30 g of salted butter,

      - 1 pinch of fleur de sel.

Salted butter caramel Christmas log: Preparation

Separate the whites and yolks of 4 eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff and set aside.

Whisk the 4 egg yolks with the 100 g of sugar and the vanilla sugar, add a whole egg.

Pour in the flour, then add the beaten egg whites.

Spread on a buttered baking sheet.

Bake at 200Β°C (th. 7) for 10 minutes.

Remove the sponge cake from the oven and place it on a cold surface covered with a damp cloth.

Bring the milk and 20 g of sugar to the boil.

Put the 2 egg yolks in a bowl, pour the hot milk over them, then place the bowl in cold water.

Add the softened (but not melted) butter, mix well.

Make the caramel with 100 g of sugar by melting it over low heat.

Separately, bring the cream to a boil. Once the caramel is ready, add the hot cream, then the salted butter and salt.

Spread the caramel cream on the sponge cake, roll the cake.

      Tips and tricks

To give the final touch to this festive log, cover it with a chocolate topping. To do this, melt 100 g of dark chocolate and 20 cl of liquid sour cream in a saucepan. Leave to cool, then spread on the cooled log. Place the log in the refrigerator to let the icing set.

Thanks @_Elsa_ . Another easy recipe if; you're into French toast But, this 1 is a spice 1. That's if, you're into spicy food. I'm Indian so I eat spicy food. Just try it with 2 egg's.

    So .

    2 egg's.

    1/4 TS salt.

    1 TS Seesami seeds.

    1/4TS cummin powder.

    1/4 TS Corrinder powder.

    About 2TBSmilk.

    1 TS green chillis.

    Few slices of bread.

Mix all these together. If you don't have green chillis use chillis flakes instead. And if you have an allergy to nuts then don't put the Seesami seeds in it. With the eggs. Fry in oli until they are brown on both sides. You can use any oil. We have this for breakfast. You can use any type of bread. White/brown. Cut the bread in half.

Welcome!
