Can’t update email address to new one

Hi, the email address I have registered for some older games is no longer used, as the domain was closed, so I set up a new king account and have new games saved to that, but when I try to update the old ones, it saying the new email address already exists and won’t let me change it? Any help is appreciated 🤗

    Hi @Diamond Lim, thanks for your reply…the games associated with my old email are: Farm Heroes Saga, Pet Rescue Saga, and Diamond Digger Saga. I have been playing these for years, so would hate to lose my progress. If I should leave them as they are, so be it. Any help @Elsa or @wykoon can provide, would be appreciated 🙂 thanks in advance 🤗

    Don't worry! Let me help you how to change your email address. 😊

    If you have connected to Facebook Account, you can check here then follow all of these steps (any devices).

    If you have connected to Kingdom Account, here's a look at the steps you need to follow. 👇😊

    In your game

    To change your King account password or email address in your game:

    1. Tap the settings icon in your game
    2. Tap "My Profile"
    3. Tap the "EDIT" button beneath your current email address
    4. Type your current password. If you've forgotten it or you would like to change it, you can press "forgot your password?"
    5. Now that you've passed the security check, you can adjust your name and email address
    6. Tap "Submit" when you are done to confirm your changes

    In a web browser

    To change your King account password or email address in a web browser:

    1. Go to www.king.com in a web browser
    2. In the top-right menu, click on "Games"
    3. Click on any game
    4. In the top-left corner, click "Log in"
    5. Enter your details to log in, then go back up to the top-left of the page and click on "Settings"
    6. In the top-right menu, click on "Games"
    7. You will then see an "Account Settings" page where you can change your email address and password

    I hope your email address changed/updated. 😉

    You can also click here to select your King's Game first then you participate and answer that you can chance to win gold bars on your game (games) from contests. 😉

    ⚠️ Note ⚠️

    "Announcement" (you can see pink colour board of announcement while green box), it means contest is still active while you can joined and answered that you can still chance to win free gold bars. And "Finished", it means contest is ended or finished that contest has no longer to be announced while you cannot win gold bars as it's too late!

    Hi @Diamond Lim, thanks so much for looking into it for me, but both options do not work as the message I'm getting is saying the email is connected to another account, so it's not letting me update them. I tried on both mobile and desktop options. Looks like I'll just have to keep them associated with my defunct email address. Thanks again!

    Welcome to our community @CherrylC. What you need to do is to get back into your old email address and log out of it. Then log in with your new email address. If you can't do that, do you remember what level you were at with your games? If so, then you can click on the "Contact us" and you can have them get you back to your current level with your new email address. First you have to get your user ID # by following the steps from here.

    Thanks @Elsa, I contacted an agent about it. They can transfer it over, but levels will be demoted to 2 stars and I’d lose boosters and gold bars accumulated. I’ll just leave things as they are. Thanks to both you and @Diamond Lim for your help 🤗

    You should NOT lose your gold bars so if they are telling you that it's not correct. Gold bars are saved on their server so if at any time you lose them you write to that contact us and they will look into your account to see what happened. Boosters will disappear only on mobile if you uninstall and reinstall the game because those are only saved to that device. I wasn't aware that the stars would drop from 3 to 2. For me it's not that important because I am just happy when I can clear a level even if it's just one star.

    It's not a matter of closing the message. Since you started this message it should say somewhere near what I wrote "did this answer your question?" and maybe a yes or no.
