Thanks @Peter_Tornaros & I love the lil Aussie Kingfisher Kookaburra!! I love hearing them in the morning ( just before the crack of dawn lol)π€
Well.... all I can offer, is that after the culmination of multiple different issues & topics raised to me personally, over the last 6mths, I'm relieved a lot of them are coming to a completion & getting sorted all at once. What some had been through, was really hard to read & though not a psychologist, I did my best (along with others) to try to support & encourage some of those with quieter voices & different interests in the Forums. Also mediating many angles. I learnt a lot, developed more patience, was humbled & appreciated those reaching out to me & being willing to work for a solution, rather than adding to confusion & division. Not always easy for them or us. I'm proud of them though for not engaging.
This of course is only one subject & another is clerical. Housekeeping is long overdue. I used to whinge a lot about that as a Newbie! OH! Boy do I have a whole new appreciation for Secretaries! π»As a whole site format it is needed & hopefully it will lead to quicker & easier navigation without having to go back so many pages to find things. This is good for my fibro, as I won't have to sit for such long periods but might bring you all a bit of relief from my Indexes in Jelly also lolπ Gotta love those Quick Links that free up time to create Activities, Contests & Badges :O)
Now we might even have time to get to helping improve things for those using a translator!
But hey, it's only in the early stages & until the maintenance is done & we know more...I'm gonna keep a cool head & work on activities & those Jellybeans too, in case we get to have another run at it!
I love it when the tone is conversational, thank you!π₯°π

@Nat09 I agree with you π just an fyi though we may have the ability to message but we also have been told it's professional purposes only. So we wouldn't be chatting to friends either.
Also I'm on phone so I can't scroll back and find the poster but to the one that said mods shouldn't comment on this thread because they get special treatment. Yes we do. That's part of the perks of being a mod. What isn't part of being a mod is being in the community every spare minute of the day like some are. Being on holiday and still checking into the community. Spending hours making videos of levels to help players that are stuck. Spending ages helping players who are having technical issues and normal suggestions haven't helped. Spending time thinking of fun contests and planning them so that you all have a chance to win goodies for your games. This often involves a lot of time making images for them resulting in a lot of stiff necks in my case. Spending a lot of time encouraging downhearted players because they are stuck and many of us don't just do this in the community, we also have other places that we have groups (but don't get perks for) where we help players. Can you tell me of any job where someone would spend many hours per day and not get paid for it? Especially when some of the people we try to help are not always the friendliest. We are here for the players first and foremost and we are allowed to have opinions too. But it is also our position which means we have to point out the positives and try and keep the community friendly too.

I think many of us have a rough idea of the βrealβ reason(s). It is the elephant in the room. π I do not need an explanation from the CMs. It would just be better for us (kingβs customers) if they listed all the reasons for the change, not just one that everyone knows could easily be fixed without resorting to this. π

Hi @Erika0811
I really enjoyed seeing you in Jelly participating in the Jelly Light Show Discussions!πΊ
The thing my Gran taught me about Elephants in the room, was that:
10 people may look at the same Elephant, from different positions in the room & have 10 different descriptions. Not all of which, will be on point.
However, the one who takes the time & effort to walk around the whole Elephant, to observe all the different views, is usually, the one with a description closest to on point & a clear perspective. Just saying π
So whilst we all would like to understand & educate ourselves a little more, it is also important to never assume that only 1 thing, is ever the cause of anything.
For me, personally, "How someone shows up everyday", is a good indication of character & collaboration. That's not determined by status, age nor level of education. Integrity & according each other simple kindness in speech, actually would've made massive differences to how things are said, rather than the topic of conversation. So yes, friendly, is a good form of showing insight & thoughtfulness, not only to complexities & logistics but to all faces behind the screen, who all have different feelings, perspectives & interests.
I'm pretty sure that those who trusted me & shared their confidences, were very brave in doing so & wouldn't want everything listed, just because some thing they know anyway. Since there are multiple issues & topics, they all must be given the same care & attention, whether also clerical/ admin or not.

OMG! I never ever get involved in these type of messages but I am trying so hard to put my best foot forward. Change has to come and growth has to come too. I was in shock, as all community members were when I first read the message. On the other hand, I would like to point out that there were community members that created havoc and tried to turn the community around. Many people, friends of mine, left the community because of that. Others were pushed out, also friends of mine. It took quite a while and I'm sure lots of legality to make a drastic change here in the community this week. My hats off to the CMs for starting the clean up here! Yes, I totally understand your anger and fear that you won't be able to communicate with your team members about contests or offer tips on helping them clear a level but I'm sure that the CMs are brainstorming with ideas on how to replace the PMs. I totally understand the reason why they wish to stop them because I was affected personally by being bullied to the point that I walked from the program and gave up my title of being a GM. But that never stopped me from remaining here. Yes I have had my share of fun with the group PMs and I am going to miss my dear true friends in that group PM. But that won't stop me from finding other ways if I choose to keep them as friends. I've already exchanged my email with a couple of friends that I don't want to lose.
If you guys are upset because you will lose your good friends and @Nat09 I read you loud and clear about losing your PM with someone who you chat with in french, why not exchange email addresses to continue until the CMs come up with a replacement?
I've always been very active ever since I found King Care and then moved here with this community, and I've always tried my best to come up with projects and ideas to keep everyone involved. Believe me I am not patting me on the back because I am far from being on an ego trip. I just want you guys to consider all angles, just like a diamond. When you turn a diamond it sparkles and when you turn it again it sparkles in a different way, right @Diamond_Lim? So my point is let's give the CMs, just the CMs for now, a chance to brainstorm and I'm sure that those angles will sparkle throughout the community bringing only positive and no more bullying and negative.
I am deeply affected by this but instead of spewing anger I would like to start a list of reasons why we enjoyed the PMs and I'm not referring to personal communication with friends. I'm talking about things like the team events and being able to share tips. I am brainstorming for the CMs with regards to areas that need to be set up.
1.- Personalized signatures - as more and more community members want to learn how to create their own personalized signature they might also wish to take requests. It has always been done in a PM and the competition can be fierce if everyone has to post in public messages saying that they are taking requests. This is something that the CMs need to keep in mind.
2.- Learning how to animate. Yes that is my project and we just finished the first class. It worked out great and others might want to take the next step and learn too. It was super to do a group PM but instead of getting angry that the group PM won't be available anymore I think the best place would be to put it into the Art Nook with all the tutorials that I created and plan to create. Perhaps we will have to get away from requesting signatures and learning more on how you can create something different like I did with the stickers saying awesome, amazing, you rock, happy birthday, etc. You guys who want to learn how to animate can create your own set with your own characters. I am so loaded with all the King characters as I have collected them over the years when writing my stories.
3.- Not sure about this yet but I am thinking about possibly working on a short story workshop or mentoring so that's just another growth area to consider.
4.- And now my mind went blank because I did have #4 set up.
Who wants to add #4 with your idea or suggestions of what you've done through a PM and would like the CMs to know so that they can set something up?
Personal is personal and that's going away. I don't do chat rooms but I do have Facebook. I am not a fan of that platform and I really only use it for my group for the candy crush games. When I started the program with @Lady_Choo and @Lynette the CMs set up a Facebook group and we communicated through there until we came here. I know that not everyone likes Facebook for privacy or for whatever. I also know that the CMs don't like us to leave here and go elsewhere but if the group team events continue, why not set up a private group, and I mean private because no one else will be invited or added to a Facebook group without permission, as a possible solution. We would continue to discuss the events as we all do now. Guess this would be something that the CMs might or might not like, but it's a possible other solution.
So who wants to brainstorm with me for things that you've done in a PM and would like to be able to do in some way to help the CMs determine how to help the community grow from here.
Before I close, I want to show you an example of animation that I've put together and I would like to spread out my teaching with seasonal content such as this for the 4th of July.
Some I found already animated like Nutcracker, Dachs and Rancid in his hot air balloon. The rest was animated by me or students of the animation class such as the Pet Rescue dog blinking and the owl in the tree from BW3.
So let's move forward like a diamond in the sky! Oh I mean in Lucy's hand. π

I have always loved your cheeriness @Lady_Sarina you have always been one of my favourite moderators βΊοΈ and I certainly understand what your saying about drawing different conclusions from the same situation/ matter. After all life is subjective and we can only draw conclusions using the information we have. π But with that said I still do not understand (for example) why king does not just start deleting messages that are 30-60 days old? π I just do not need an explanation from the CMs because they know what is going on but right or wrong I still have my views anyway. π€

There definitely needs to be some method of contact for those not of English mother tongue. Just saying to someone that they need to use at translation. programme will not help.anyone who doesn't understand English - and as, at present, the posts are edited before most of us have time to read them, there is no way at all in which they can be helped
Translation programmes have improved considerably over the years, but still contain flaws and cannot interact as humans can. Although we are not perfect, programmes have no emotions or idea of idioms and are only as good as their programmers. You can have a discussion with a person, but not with a programme!
-
That's so true, @rebelchild.. I've seen some real howlers, because translation programmes can't think or understand, but just pour out whatever's been fed into them.
I'm not saying that we humans are perfect because I've seen some terrible errors there too, but we do at least stand a chance of correcting them.
