Once upon a Christmas 🎄
Hello everyone!!
I was thinking what better way to come together at Christmas time by telling stories ✨ so as we all know tiffi loves Christmas and so do we. So I'm going to give you a story of Tiffi and her Christmas then I want you to either add to the story, tell me your own Christmas story, share pictures of your decorated trees, or just your Christmas decorations, or even share your favorite dish at Christmas time and maybe a recipe 🎁 if you don't celebrate Christmas that's OK we want to celebrate with you share your holiday you celebrate and you can even share pictures of your decirations we would love to celebrate with you.

Hereis Tiffi's story
Once upon a time lived this cute little girl named Tiffi. Her older sister, Kimmy, and her were orphaned at a young age so Aunt Tilde brought them home to live with her in a faraway world.
One Christmas eve, Tiffi huddles under her blanket with a flashlight waiting to catch Santa Claus in the act. She hears a strange noise so she sneaks downstairs to find out what that noise could be. She finds a box glowing faintly with a buzz of electrical energy. Naturally she does what she has been told one thousand times not to do.
She opens the box ….. and falls ………….. right in …………………
A short time later, Kimmy wakes up and much to her surprise Tiffi is not in bed. She hears this ruckus downstairs so she thinks that perhaps her sister is doing something that she shouldn’t be doing. She decides to check it out.
She goes downstairs; however Tiffi is not there. What she finds is a total mess so she tries her best to clean it up. Things take a turn for the worse when, out of the corner of her eye, she sees an old Soda machine in the corner starting to tip over.
CRASH! SPLASH!
As the machine hits the floor, a bright light starts to shine from the box, and Kimmy falls …….. right ……… in………….

Time marches on and Tiffi is now living with their adopted father, Mr. Toffee, who is also Candy Town’s mayor. Kimmy has moved to Soda World but comes to visit her sister and adopted father quite often.
It is now December of 2022 and Kimmy has come home to spend time with her family. The girls are getting excited because Christmas is around the corner so they start to decorate the tree.
“Kimmy, it’s snowing outside,” exclaims Tiffi. “It looks like we might have a white Christmas. I can’t wait to build a snowman. Oh and we can’t forget to make snow angels too. And, I want to call my friends so that we can all have a snowball fight. Won’t it be fun Kimmy?”
Kimmy just shakes her head as she listens to her sister go on and on and on. Where does Tiffi get all that energy?
Mr. Toffee shouts out from the kitchen that dinner is ready.
“We will have to finish the tree after we finish eating,” Kimmy says.
And off they go! …………………

Make a genoise sponge for the lightest, fluffiest Black Forest gâteau filled with cherries and cream. Absolutely classic.

Ingredients
- 6 free-range eggs
- 250g/9oz caster sugar
- 100g/3½oz plain flour
- 60g/2¼oz cocoa powder
- 150g/5½oz butter, melted and cooled, plus extra for greasing
- 100g/3½oz morello cherry jam
- 425g tin pitted black cherries, drained
- 500ml/18fl oz double cream
- 2 tbsp icing sugar
- 100g/3½oz dark chocolate, to decorate
Method
- Preheat oven to 180C/160C Fan/Gas 4. Grease and line the base of three 20cm/8in sandwich tins with baking paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar with an electric hand whisk until very light and fluffy. The mixture should leave a visible trail when you lift the whisk (ribbon stage). This will take around 10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, sift the flour and cocoa powder together before folding it into the egg mixture, being very gentle so as not to knock the air out.
- Gently pour in the cooled melted butter down the inside of the bowl and carefully fold it in.
- Divide the mixture equally between the three tins and bake for 20–25 minutes, until springy to the touch. Set aside to cool for 5 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack, peeling off the baking paper, and allow to cool completely.
- Heat the jam in a small saucepan to melt. Reserve eight of the tinned cherries for the top of the cake, then mix the remainder into the jam. Set aside to cool completely.
- Whisk the cream and icing sugar together until soft peaks form. Set aside in the fridge until you are ready to assemble.
- When the cake is completely cool, place the whipped cream in a piping bag with a star nozzle and pipe a small amount of cream onto the first layer of sponge and spread evenly. Then pipe a ring around the edge and fill the middle with half the cherry mixture. Place the second layer of sponge on top and repeat the process.
- Pipe eight swirls of cream on top of the cake, topping each with a reserved cherry.
- Use a vegetable peeler to shave the dark chocolate into curls over the top (alternatively, grate the chocolate and sprinkle over). This cake is best eaten on the day it’s made.
