  • In light of the recurring Pot of Gold tournaments that appear from time to time to help players earn gold bars, I've designed yet another cheerleading kit for Denize to help players give it their very best to take home a vital prize!

As gold is the major theme of this recurring tournament, I've colored much of this cheerleading kit a yellowish-gold color, with a brown accent to represent the titular pot that holds all the gold. The brown accent, however, does not apply to her head ribbon, as I felt it would be more visually appealing to color it gold. I hope players will look at her and have good luck at winning any future Pot of Gold tournaments whenever they come!

  • Nope! I am by no means affiliated with King.

See all the fan art I made about the gummi dragons at my DeviantArt gallery below:

  • Today is the Lunar New Year, and the Year of the Dragon is here! And that means Izzy, and here she is unleashing black belt Crush-Fu mastery.

After coming up with the concept of "crush-fu" as a way to frame one's ability to play this game well, I started imagining Denize being skilled in crush-fu and wearing an awesome kung fu outfit just in time for the game's second Year of the Dragon, after its first in the very year it all began. (It is not hard to see why a dragon character appeared in the game's third episode not long after getting underway.) Initially, I did not show her with a weapon, but after realizing that monstrous eastern dragons may not be the best at landing punches and kicks with their short limbs, I decided to give her a long peppermint staff to swing around as she busts candy with unparalleled grace.

  • Today is the Big Game, and this is no ordinary one - it comes 24 hours after the Year of the Dragon begins! And how else to celebrate that by showing Mr. Dragon inviting citizens of the Candy Kingdom to a watch party at his lake while dressed up for the occasion, ready to serve fresh ice-cold lemonade from the lake!

The original version of the fan art left his apparel uncolored to allow anyone to download his picture and color him with an NFL team of one's choice, particularly ones participating in the late stages of this season's playoffs. I thought well about what he could wear for some serious fan action, and one idea was to have him wear lemonade cans beside each side of his head and hook them up to a long crazy straw that winds to his jaw so that he could easily sip away hands-free. Besides that, he has all the typical football fan apparel that's to be expected - foam fingers, a pennant, a baseball cap and a T-shirt. He serves the lemonade by waving around a pitcher of lemonade with his prehensile tail. Guess it's pretty cool to have a tail for an extra arm!

When the finalists of this year's Big Game were revealed, I made 2 different versions of this fan art showing him cheering for the San Francisco 49ers or the Kansas City Chiefs.

  • Today, to celebrate Valentine's Day and the release of Tomb Raider Remastered, I released 3 different fan art pieces.

The first one simply shows Denize and her husband sharing an intimate moment while skating on the frozen surface of Lemonade Lake.

The second is about a gummi dragon being dressed as a cupid. It was clearly inspired by how their wings alone allow them to make for good cupids. I was sure to add all the details, including a toy Greek bow and arrow and a toga to complete the look.

And lastly, I showed crossover fan art of Denize the dragon cosplaying as Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider series, in honor of Tomb Raider Remastered, a HD collection of Core Design's first 3 Tomb Raider games, being released on modern platforms with updated features and controls. The fan art was inspired particularly by the premise of the second game, Tomb Raider II, in which Lara Croft hunts for a magic dagger called the Dagger of Xian, which can turn anyone who stabs themselves with it into a dragon. From there, I began to wonder what Croft would look like if she stabbed herself with the artifact and became a dragon herself.

For this fan artwork, I tried to map Lara Croft's classic outfit and appearance onto Denize's body as faithfully as possible, but some compromises had to be made. First, while Croft herself is unafraid to use real guns to battle evil, I could not have Izzy doing the same due to the family-friendly theme of Candy Crush, so I substituted the pistols with toy squirt guns that shoot lemonade. Second, although Croft's pistol holsters are usually part of her belt, I am not able to do the same with Izzy's costume, due to her short arms, so I attached them to a separate chest-level harness that allows her short arms to reach for and holster her weapons. And lastly, while Croft is also known for having very long hair that she ties into a braid, Izzy herself lacks hair as a reptile, so that was completely omitted in her cosplay.

With the final round of the Winter Games getting underway, it's time to unveil Denize's cheerleading liveries for both competing teams, (from left to right) Team Tiffi and Team Yeti!

Both cheerleading liveries were colored appropriately to reflect the colors of the team leaders' winter gear, and were derived from Denize's Winter Cup cheerleading livery, as this is a cold wintry event that calls for appropriate gear to help Izzy withstand low temperatures usually dangerous for a dragon. The striped skirt and dual-colored pom-pom designs were copied off of the 2023 Candy Cup cheerleading livery.

These cheerleading outfits were later updated to add the names of the teams on the main cheerleading suits for an added touch.

  • To honor the 100th anniversary of the Winter Olympics, which began in Chamonix, France, I've also released fan art of Denize and Odus striking a pose after a sweet figure skating performance en route to their 2022 Ice Cream Games Pairs Skating championship.

For this picture, I wanted to show another glimpse of Denize and Odus being figure skating partners, besides the one many Crushers got to see when the 2022 Ice Cream Games Pairs Skating.

I eventually settled on having both of them strike a pose with both of their arms (or wings) swung over to one direction and their feet pointing in opposite directions. To make things even more interesting, I decided to use a stock photo of an ice rink as the background of this fan art, giving it a sweeter touch.

  • Denize may be busy cheering for the Winter Games, but her husband has decided to side with Team Tiffi and shred the slopes with her on snowboards. Here he is catching some huge air!

The reason why I had Mr. Dragon going with Team Tiffi was because his arms are too short to hold actual ski poles, which must be made longer to accommodate his height, a problem that snowboarding wouldn't have. Furthermore, I wanted to make a callback to the game's third episode waaaay back in 2012 and show how indebted Mr. Dragon is to Tiffi personally for helping him get his Lemonade Lake refilled.

Note that this fan art is built around a literal interpretation of the "tail grab", a popular trick in both skateboarding and snowboarding, in which the rider grips the back of such vehicle with their hand. But with his species having short arms, he can accomplish this feat with his prehensile tail, adding a literal, punny dimension to it.
