2+(12×6)=72
67 ok.
Lol @johamilton the answer is
30+30-30=30
30+4+4=38
6+6+6=18
2+(30+2)×6= 194
Yes😆
Hi @johamilton .
Very nice contest.
14+10×6=74
Hi @johamilton. Thank you for keeping the old grey matter working! My answer:
67
I don't know the value of a potted palm, so I've assumed it's the same value as the others.
Thanks for the tag @johamilton trying my luck with this answer
74

Hi @johamilton
This is how I see it...
10+10+10 = 30
10+14+14 = 38
6+6+6 = 18
14+10(6) = 74
I hope I’m right. 😁
Thanks for the tag too. 💕

@johamilton . thank you for the competition and tag. I have this love/ hate thing when it comes to math. Lol mostly it's a hate thing. Here is my guess. @Nix66 I see you have all bases covered
That's how it is .
That's what they taught in the old school, and now too.
They have always taught the same thing.
You just had to pay attention in class 🤣🤣 otherwise you would fail math
7 + 10 x 6 = 67
@DieOmimi and @Nix66. I wholeheartedly agree about the use of parentheses. One problem these days is that a lot of people no longer work things out for themselves, but use a calculator, which gives the "new" answer.
@johamilton
It's more difficult than it seems at the first watch 🤔🤔!
I think that the answer is :
1 palm-tree = 30
1 planter = 2
1 cup = 6
The equation is :
30 + (30 + 2) x 6 = 30 + 192 = 222
Here is my (over-thought and most likely wrong, but thoroughly documented) answer And could my reply be any longer?😏
⬇️
at first, it appears the palm trees are all the same, so the easy answer would be if each palm tree is worth X, the we have X + X + X = 30, or 3X = 30, and the equation solves for X=10.However, closer inspection reveals the third palm tree is actually horizontally reversed from the other two. What does that mean? I can only think it means the third tree's value is reversed from the other two. So if the value of tree 1 and tree 2 are X, then the value of the third 3 is -X. So X + X + =X or X + X - X = 30, which solves for X = 30.
The next section of the puzzle features a palm tree, non reversed, so it must equal 30. Next we have two planters and in the third spot, two planters again, which appear identical. So the equation is X + 2Y + 2Y = 38, we know X=30, so solving:
30 + 2Y + 2Y = 38
2Y + 2Y = 8 (subtracting 30 from each side)
4Y = 8
Y = 8/4
Y = 2, so each Planter = 2
Next section, three identical (as far as I can tell) coffee cups = 18, so
Z + Z + Z = 18
3Z = 18, and
Z=6, and thus each coffee cup = 6
Finally, we have a single planter, plus a non reversed palm tree in a single planter multiplied by a single coffee cup, like so:
X + (30 + 2) X Z
X + 32 X 6 (add inside Parenthesis first)
X + 192 (multiplication first)
30 + 192 = 222
So my answer is 222
My answer is:
109
I learned in school that point calculation always takes precedent over line calculation. A bracket only makes sense for exceptions, so if the line calculation is set in brackets, then the bracket is calculated. 🙈😫
And my school days were over 40 years ago. 😂
@siti_payung you're also a math professional, how do you see that? 🤔
My answer: 102
🌴 = 10
🥛= 7 (I have no pod emoji 😄)
☕️ = 6
So 🥛+ 🌴 x ☕️ = 102
@Nix66 I am with you the old way to me is correct this new way that some work out equations make no sense 🙈💓
