unable to receive/send lives

i am unable to receive/send lives as i don't have the owl? how can i fix this? thanks.

If you don't see the owl then it's because no one has sent any/asked for any. The owl will only appear when you have these items waiting. If you notice, once you're finished sending/accepting then this is why he flies away.
