Losing star dust

For the last week I've noticed that my star dust I've collected is being reduced every time I play the game it has deducted either 200 or 400 star dust, random amounts. This means that it's pointless collecting them. Can someone please sort this glitch out for me.

Has anyone else noticed this problem with their game?
