Yeti = 10
Tiffi = 5
Rachel = 1
1) 10 + 10 + 10 = 30
2) 10 + 5 + 5 = 20
3) 5 + (1+1) + (1+1) = 9
4) 5 + 1 * 10 = 15

Whenever the answer is Y + A *B , the B can be applied to just A or to (Y+A) which makes the answer quite different. Many of the maths puzzles have this option, thus my 'as usual' comment

What I was saying is that writing (y+a)* b and writing y +a* b have clear different meanings. Only one was used by the mod. Choosing a different one means not following the instructions she made but in the end feel free to do as you wish. Peace👌

I was an accountant and I also learned in college that Y + A x B is
Y + (A x B) = x always get first and then the next move
A x B = ?
Y + ? = answer
