I have friends on fb but when I play the game they don't show up to ask for lives

I am sorry to hear you are having an issue seeing your Facebook friends.

Be sure you are logged in with a Facebook account to see Facebook friends. You should see both random King and Facebook friends mixed together when you click the heart in the top left and then send/request lives. 
There are some known issues some people are having sending and receiving which is being worked on. You are welcome to  follow this thread for updates.
