My Dear @Ashraf

You are quite the nut for our Nutcracker aren't you?! I loved your pencil drawing a while back, so you are clearly a very talented creative nutcracker loving soul. If people are going to say you are nuts, as long as they remember the talented and creative bit, all will be well in the land of sweetness.

And Ashraf, it was good of you to create a story as the lead in to yet another counting game, and you will be appreciated by many more than just me for making an effort. I've decided, however, not to play counting games anymore, so I wanted to apologise to you because I believe your effort deserves some acknowledgement at the very least. So THANK YOU for putting something into the effort.

I've decided that, for me, the counting games don't really require enough from me, and that they have the effect of inflating my contributions to the Community, so that I don't feel I've really earned the badges I was collecting by playing counting games. I want to emphasise that I'm speaking purely about myself and am not criticising anyone for playing counting games. Quite the contrary. I'm from a wealthy English-speaking country, and the privileges of that are not lost on me. So, I do play the various word games because I like words - can you tell??

I know you play the word games too Ashraf, so I will see you on those, and thank you again for taking the time and effort to create a Nutcracker story to go with your game. I believe (hope) you have set a benchmark or standard by which new counting games should have to meet to be accepted. As in, no new counting games unless there is a good story to go with it. Or something. Because there should be some limits, but not barriers to participation. The End. for now.

Now, if someone could invent a PRIME number counting game, I might reconsider my self-imposed ban on playing them…..
