Why do fish boosters ruin special candy combinations?

So I got this quite unusual problem - the fish booster keeps destroying a candy, that could form a special candy combination. This happens every time I play, and way too often to be a coincidence. Even if there are ice (or bubble gum) around, the fishes go for the candy that could form a combination. Is this a coincidence, or were they programmed this way? Why does this keep happening?

Also Im seeing the same thing happening with the nutcracker character, where he destroys obstacles, which then make candies land differently, destroying a possible special candy combo

Hello @Migeliss and welcome to our friendly community. The fish can be very helpful but they can be contrary. I have had them hit a Color bomb (when I didn't want them to) or totally ignore a piece of jelly or piece of candy that I wanted then to eat. It varies from game to game but there is sometimes a randomness to their nature and they are not always as helpful as you could wish.

The Fish Booster is programmed in a way that will always help you, but if there is an obstacle in its way, it can change its direction and eat something else on the board.On each board, the fish does not work the same way and in some cases hits special combo or color bombs.😉

The fish are being further improved.
