@anndenise Hi and welcome, Currently some people are having issues with sending and receiving lives that is being investigated., but we have no time for a fix for this at present.
Please check your device and game are up to date and log out and restart your device and see if this resolves your issue

Please be informed that something sticky is going on in the Facebook message system these days so many players aren't able to send or receive any lives.
This is being looked into by the Game Team and Facebook, and hopefully it can be fixed shortly. We will post any updates or news about the issue on this thread.
As temporary solution, please disconnect the device from internet without exiting the game, wait for a minute or less before reconnecting back to the internet. Play a level and try to send lives to your friends after that. This method sometimes work, thus, you may try it out.
