Is there a tutorial somewhere to show me how to use the various boosters in the royal championship? Some are obvious but others dont seem to do anything that I can see, and it would sure be nice to know what they do before I pick them and get trounced because they didnt boost anything but my opponent and my frustrations.
I went to open my game game and it said that I have a great new update, new and exciting things. So it took me to the update I launched it went to play and nothing different. I them went to the developers page and it said that my last update was 1/22/2021. So where did my new and exciting update go?

I haven't reached that level yet. It's really helpful if you can show a screen shot of the actual board you are on not just the episode. For a few reasons.
It helps to see which blockers you are up against and if there are boosters caged or trapped etc this affects strategy in game play. (elements)
Also, we can see which type of board you are playing on. You will have different strategies according to the nature of the board. Try to identify if is an Explosion, Excavation, Endurance or Puzzle Board.
For example The board I am playing atm, for this particular level, requires a couple of different strategies but not getting too hung up on one or the other. It is a bit of a mix of board types as I'm not at the beginning of the episode (I'll get to that next). It is mostly a Puzzle Board ( limited candy colours, set of systematic moves with a "flow on" effect, but also has limited play space and therefore the need of "sniping" in the strategy ( making and matching stripped Candies to remove the Cupcake blockers to create space)
Generally speaking majority of levels can be passed without boosters if the strategy matches the game play of the board and the "plot" of the level.
Positioning within The Episode also contributes to game play difficulty. The 1st levels are easier as you get used to the "theme". The levels in the middle are slightly more difficult as you get familiar with the theme. They higher levels increase in difficulty as your skill level develops and increases. Why? To keep boredom from setting in. You'll lose interest continually playing without a challenge and it's more interesting.
Hope that's helpful but I'll tag @NikolaosProdromidis @headoperations @NamTruong2001 , as I think they are up at the level you're enquiring about :0)
It's been a while since the post but hopefully this helps, since it's still in the main thread
