What do I do?

I have had to play Candy Crush Jelly the past 8 months on my laptop since I can't get it to load on Facebook due to my home Internet. I have used the same Internet Browser for Facebook for the past 15 years. I have been able to log into the game using my Facebook information for the past 8 months with no problem. Yesterday while playing and needing to log-in, I got the message that the screenshot shows. It seems like a scam. I have not changed browsers, so I don't know why it is saying what it is saying. I do not want to enter my Facebook information into something I don't tryst. HELP.

    Hi @Melissa9000

I've not seen this issue before & can understand your caution, definitely.

Thanks for the screenshot as they're always helpful.

Check this link for recommended browsers & seeing if your browser is compatible. There has been an update to HTML5, so after 15 years this may be something to look at, just in case.🤔

Also, here's a link for troubleshooting steps for Facebook connecting through the Windows 10 on PC.

Hope this helps & please let me know how you go 😊

Hi @Lady_Sarina Thanks for the information. Going to the two sites you posted, I see that Chrome is a recommended browser for Windows, and I already use that. AS for the Windows 10 on PC, I will have to look over that more. I tried to follow the directions earlier today and was unable to find the three dots. I will keep trying to get it to where I do not have to put my information in again. Again thanks.

    Hi @Lady_Sarina and @Melissa9000!

There is an important detail here: the"unsupported browser" in the message is not Chrome, Firefox or Edge! 😃

It is somehow the Microsoft store! I suppose that Windows understands it as a "browser", because of its behavior! If I have any mistake here and someone knows something more, he/she is welcome in the discussion! 🥰

I don't get this message when I connect to facebook using any browser and then go to gaming etc.

@Melissa9000, did you enter into your fb account using your browser and then entered into gaming, my games etc., or you downloaded the Jelly app from Microsoft store and then you got this screen you posted?

I downloaded yesterday the Jelly app on Win 10 from Microsoft store and I got all screens I posted in my previous message! It is absolutely safe to connect using your facebook username/ password or your King account info, if you have a King account!

I am going to check more Win 10 connection details today, when I'll be on my p.c.!

Now I am on mobile! 😁

@Melissa9000, if you have not a King account, it is good idea to create one! 😃👍

Hi @Nikolaos_Prodromidis I am unale to get to the game at the moment through FB. This is how I usually play. ATT has done something to our DSL Internet and I am unable to load my two games I play through FB so I had to download it from the Microsoft store. I did this about 6 months ago and have not had any problems. It was just two days ago that message appeared. I have noticed that it is saving my progress, and I am still receiving gifts. I will just continue to play it as is. If worse comes to worse, I will only play it on my Kindle which is working wonderfully.

    Thank you for your help.

  • I don't know what's happened.

  • @Melissa9000 hi!

I checked it and I cannot go in my game through facebook as well! I get a message I haven't seen before, it says that there is a problem and prompts me to return later!

I was able to play through facebook last week though!

    There are two possibilities:

    • Facebook changed some policy that affected all users
    • I, downloading the app from Microsoft stored, "disabled" the usability of playing the game through facebook, due to a conflict! I tried to search where in my hard drive is the app downloaded, and I found that it is in a hidden folder, where user has not access! I am going to get privileges for this folder, so that I can delete the downloaded app, just to see if the game works again in facebook!

However, the downloaded app works fine and after this test I 'll download it again! 😎

@Nikolaos_Prodromidis I have not been able to use FB for 7 to 8 months to play two of my games. Two months after that, my husband told me I could download it directly to my laptop, which is what I did. I can play through FB when I am on another internet connection like at the library, so I know on that front it is my Internet connection. AS for the message you just got, I will have to wait to see if I get it on another Internet connection.

    Thanks for all the information.

  • Thanks for all info @Melissa9000!

If you have different internet provider, or different kind of connection on the two routers, I can say that connection problem is related to static/dynamic I.P.adresses!

At least it is one possible reason! 😉
