In candy crush is there a way to not keep losing lives people have sent because of having to reload?

Every time i have to reload the game i have lost all of the lives my friends have sent me.  Makes it kind of pointless to be sent lives and then lose them because you have to reload the game.  Is there some kind of way to keep this from happening all the time.  Please i love this game and sometimes need lots of lives to be able to pass certain levels would be nice to be able to use all the lives my friends send me.

From what I understand, this is just part of the game. You have 5 lives as always and then if you have any extra ones that friends have sent you, you can use them in that round of playing. For me, 5 lives is perfect for a little playing time
