How do I fix a Candy Track screen that wont go away?

First, some stats:

I use an Android 5.0 Motorola phone, and I'm currently on level 202.

The problem:

Whenever I play a level, the "Claim Reward" screen comes up afterward, with the usual animation for when you're about to receive a prize, except that the present doesn't open, the "Claim Reward" button is grayed out, and I can't exit via back arrow. The only solution is to close the entire app and start it up again, but it happens every level!

I think that the problem was possibly caused by the fact that the last time the screen came up I pressed the claim reward button before the present opened.

Is there any way to fix this?

Okay well it's fixed now, but I have absolutely no clue why. Was there an update that fixed the glitch?

I think I got about 72 or so sugar drops whilst the glitch was there by closing and reopening candy crush - is there any significance to that number?
