Can''t connect to Facebook

Can't connect to Facebook on iPad mini.  Lots of others I see have had this issue but here's another problem: I can't see your answers to them.  Tried rebooting, no success with connecting after that.  I get one of two error messages: It took too long to connect, retry (though it didn't), or, We're adding more flavours, your progress will be saved, please don't reinstall.  A stranger named Consuelo shows as my "friend" who is ahead of me in the game.  It appears that I can send lives to Consuelo even though it still shows as not connected to Facebook.  My real friends don't show up in the game. Please assist, preferably by email since I can't see your answers in this forum.  Thanks!
