Can not connect to Facebook

On my apple devices I can not connect to Facebook in Candy Crush Saga.  I go into Connect. I then go into facebook where it asks for my user name and password which I input. Facebook may then say you already have it associated with Facebook and click okay.  Nothing happens.  Or alternatively I get the message.  "Network Error.  It took too long to connect to Facebook. Retry". I have tried all the suggestions as well as deleting the app and reloading.  Nothing works.  Please help.
