On Candy Crush level 1053 why can I not use any of my helpers at the start of the level???

At the begining of the level i cannot select to use the fish, chocolate ball, or the stripped/wrapped candies and I have tried the level alot of times and it is impossible to pass without em.

Nah you can definitely pass this level without them Brandi! Don't lose hope!  

It is supposed to be that way with this level, some levels don't allow some boosters, but this one does not allow any of them, but trust me you wont need them. You'll see in this vid that all the boosters are grayed out, and will hopefully give you an idea on how to tackle it!
